ENERGY COSTS

The house has had a comprehensive energy audit, blower leakage test, insulation check, etc.  The energy consultant stated that “The house is one of the most energy efficient he has ever encountered.  If all homes were built like this there would never be an energy crisis associated with housing.”

For the 12 months of 2024, our Xcel Energy costs were as follows, which is typical of all previous years since 1986 as far as KWH and therms of natural gas used.

Yearly Natural Gas Charges: $678

Yearly Electricity Charges: $648

Total Yearly Xcel Energy Charges: $1326

It costs about $22 per month during the summer for water heating, cooking, and clothes drying, all of which use natural gas.  So about ($22x12) or $264 per year for non-heating use, which shows that the actual cost to heat the home is ($678-$264) or $414 per year.   

 Current Xcel Energy Monthly Billing = $119 Average Monthly Payment AMP (Total energy costs including natural gas and electricity).

All of these figures are available for a prospective buyer to review.

·       Rubbish/recycle charge is $28 per month.

Water and sewage is $60 per month.
